Abstract
A hydrolysis precipitation method was developed to prepare Cu based catalyst for methanol steam reforming. A comparison of the hydrolysis precipitation and the conventional coprecipitation method was conducted. The test results present that Cu‐ZnO@Al2O3 prepared by hydrolysis precipitation exhibits better catalytic activity and stability in MSR reaction. XRD, XRF, EDS, SEM, TPR, XPS and N2 adsorption/desorption reveal that the high catalytic performance of Cu based catalyst from hydrolysis precipitation could be attributed to developed pore organization, surface enrichment of active components and higher reducibility.
