Abstract
The article focuses on portrait retouching techniques using Adobe Lightroom Classic and Adobe Camera Raw (ACR), emphasizing natural enhancement rather than excessive alteration. It explains how modern software versions automatically detect facial features and create masks for targeted adjustments to skin, eyes, hair, lips, teeth, and clothing, allowing precise retouching with tools like Content-Aware Remove, Healing, and Redeye correction. The article highlights the importance of starting with a technically sound portrait and applying moderate edits to maintain realism, noting that over 90% of serious portraits undergo some retouching. Practical guidance is provided on using specific sliders and tools for different facial features to improve aesthetics while preserving the subject's natural appearance.
