Abstract

This article highlights contemporary equine art through four galleries showcasing diverse artistic interpretations of horses and their relationships with humans. Korean-American artist Rimi Yang explores the emotional and spiritual bond between horse and rider using expressionist techniques at Blue Rain Gallery. Barbara Meikle Fine Art features vibrant, expressive impressionist paintings inspired by the artist’s lifelong connection to horses and animal rescue. Ian Russell Gallery presents Cody Kuehl’s innovative, layered plexiglass paintings reflecting his experience with draft horses and the American West.
