Abstract
The article focuses on the artwork "Three Times Spanning," created by an artist who explores the concept of the body through its absence in a carved marble form. The piece features a life-size negative imprint of the artist's body, emphasizing the contrast between the permanence of marble and the ephemeral nature of human life. The work challenges traditional notions of monumentality by presenting interlocked slabs that suggest co-dependence and transformation. "Three Times Spanning" is currently exhibited at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA, until October 12, 2026. [Extracted from the article]
