Abstract

The author discusses the use of photography in teaching the history of the Vietnam War. He discusses the restoration and colorization being done by volunteer groups Team Lee and Skyline to photos of socialist martyrs, explores how the initiative utilizes the colors of socialism, olive green and scarlet red, and examines the backlash against the publication "Vice" for altering images and distorting history.
