Abstract

Spun-silk threads are soft and spread slightly to cover the ground fabric, and they are less likely than other types of silk threads to be damaged by rough hands. Spun-silk threads are easier to use, are less likely to be damaged by rough, winter hands, and are the perfect introduction to silk threads for needleworkers who are beginning their silk-thread adventure. This method requires two movements: vertically up through the fabric, pulling the thread completely through, and then vertically down through the fabric, pulling the thread completely through.
