Abstract
The Wheeler School, attended by Gloria Vanderbilt, has sold an $11 million tax-exempt bond to improve its campus in Seekonk, Massachusetts. The bond will be used to build a new pool, outdoor splash pad, and nature-based early learning center. Other elite private schools, such as Loomis Chaffee School and Brunswick School, have also sold debt to enhance their campuses. The Wheeler School, founded in 1889, has a campus in Providence, Rhode Island, as well as a 120-acre farm in Seekonk. Tuition for the upcoming school year will be as high as $43,515.
