Abstract
PBS Books and the Library of Congress are partnering to create a series of PBS Books Author Talks in anticipation of the 2024 National Book Festival. The series will feature seven books with the festival's featured authors, including Sandra Cisneros and James McBride. The talks will be streamed live on Facebook and YouTube, and will also be available for on-demand viewing on pbsbooks.org and loc.gov/bookfest. The Library of Congress National Book Festival is a one-day free event held on August 24th, featuring over 90 authors, poets, and writers. The festival explores the theme "Books Build Us Up" and aims to connect readers with writers and their ideas. Additionally, PBS Books Readers Club has announced that the August pick is "The Hunter" by Tana French, and there will be a conversation with the author on August 28th. PBS is also featuring British dramas, including "COBRA: REBELLION" and "HOTEL PORTOFINO," which can be streamed on PBS.org and the PBS app. [Extracted from the article]
