Abstract

This article analyzes the representation of emerging femininities and masculinities in revisiting the gender binary through gendered cyborgs in recent science fiction films and television, focusing on *Ex Machina*, *Westworld*, and *I'm Your Man*. Drawing on feminist and queer theory alongside posthumanism, it explores how these narratives depict romantic and sexual interactions between humans and AI robots to challenge traditional gender binaries and heteronormativity, presenting cyborgs as post-gender, fluid subjects. The study highlights a shift in AI storytelling from technological futurism toward social change and post-gender subjectivities, emphasizing how these works subvert dominant norms by combining themes of pathos, gender, and genre.
