Abstract
Willow Bay, dean of the University of Southern California's journalism and communications school, and her husband, Bob Iger, CEO of Walt Disney Co., have acquired the Los Angeles women's soccer team, Angel City Football Club. The deal values the team at $250 million, making it the world's most valuable women's sports team. Bay and Iger plan to invest $50 million to support the club's growth, and Bay will become the controlling owner. Despite its high valuation, the team has struggled on the field, ranking 11th out of 14 teams. The sale is subject to league approval. [Extracted from the article]
