Abstract
PBS Books has partnered with the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) to feature interviews with prominent African American authors, poets, and filmmakers. The collaboration celebrates Black History Month and highlights the work of historian Mary Frances Berry, PhD, who explores the legacy of forced child apprenticeships on Black families post-Civil War. Additionally, PBS Books Readers Club recommends Charmaine Wilkerson's novel "Good Dirt" and announces the premiere of the documentary "NAACP and Its Architects" on PBS' AMERICAN EXPERIENCE. Lastly, MASTERPIECE continues to offer quality British dramas for diverse audiences on Sunday nights. [Extracted from the article]
