Abstract

The article focuses on a study conducted in Beer Sheva, Israel, examining the differences in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms between women veterans in combat roles and those in combat-support roles. The research, involving 71 women veterans with an average age of 25.81, utilized various assessment tools, revealing that 77.6% of participants met the criteria for probable PTSD. Notably, dissociative symptoms were significantly different between the two groups, highlighting the unique mental health care needs of women veterans.
