Abstract
The article examines the place of women's suffrage history in Australia in the 20th-century. Topics discussed include marginalisation of suffragists in commemorative landscapes, transformation of suffrage history by mass digitisation or digital archives, digitisation of women's franchise petitions in Queensland, South Australia and Victoria, attitude of colonial press towards suffragists, voting restrictions and conditional citizenship that complicate universal suffrage.
