Abstract
The NCAA women's college basketball championship game between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Iowa Hawkeyes set a new record for viewership, with 18.7 million viewers tuning in on ABC and ESPN. This makes it the most-watched women's college basketball game ever and the most-viewed basketball game, professional or college, since the men's championship in 2019. The game, which featured star players Caitlin Clark and Kamilla Cardoso, is expected to have even higher viewership numbers when final Nielsen ratings are released. South Carolina emerged as the victors with an 87-75 win, completing an undefeated season. [Extracted from the article]
