Abstract
Jane Fonda, an 86-year-old actor and activist, has become a prominent figure in the fight against climate change. Fonda's passion for the environment was sparked by the 2018 California wildfires, which made her realize the urgency of the climate crisis. Inspired by Naomi Klein's book, Fonda started organizing weekly acts of civil disobedience called Fire Drill Fridays, which gained momentum and attracted older women who had never participated in rallies before. Fonda also established the Jane Fonda Climate PAC to support and endorse candidates who prioritize climate issues. Despite her own self-doubt, Fonda's determination and activism serve as an inspiration for others to take action against climate change. [Extracted from the article]
