Abstract

Pakistan's two main family-controlled political parties, the Sharifs' PML-N and Bhutto Zardari's PPP, are considering forming a coalition government to counter Imran Khan's party, despite Khan's candidates winning the most seats in the recent election. The parties have held meetings to discuss the possibility of a coalition after the election resulted in a hung parliament. However, the formation of such a coalition could lead to protests and unrest in the country. The delay in forming a government could also have negative effects on Pakistan's economy, which is already facing challenges. [Extracted from the article]
