Abstract
This article examines the intellectual contributions of economist Joan Robinson through an analysis of her 127 book reviews published over six decades. It presents a comprehensive, chronological overview of her reviews, highlighting how they reflect her evolving scientific and political concerns, including her engagement with Keynesian economics, Marxism, economic planning, and development issues, particularly relating to China and the Soviet Union. The study underscores Robinson's critical stance toward orthodox economic theories, her methodological shifts, and her efforts to integrate classical and Keynesian traditions into what she termed "post-Keynesian economics." Her reviews reveal a wide-ranging curiosity and a distinctive, incisive style, forming a significant part of her intellectual legacy alongside her original works.
