Abstract
Two buffalo robes, one Hidatsa and one Lakota, are on display at the Joslyn Museum of Art in Omaha, Nebraska, after being loaned from the Ethnological Museum in Berlin. These robes, created in the 1830s, depict battle achievements and are of the highest caliber. The robes' makers are unknown, but efforts are being made to uncover their identities. The robes will be on view in Omaha until summer 2027 before returning to Berlin. [Extracted from the article]
