Abstract

The article discusses a new suite of historical site studies and virtual reality (VR) resources developed for History teachers and students in Sydney's Inner West, funded by the NSW government. These resources cover diverse topics, including Aboriginal history, LGBTQ+ activism, and local industrial history, aimed at enhancing the NSW Years 7-10 History syllabus. Collaboratively created by the Inner West Council and various historians, the materials encourage students to engage in historical inquiry and develop analytical skills through interactive learning experiences. The article also highlights the use of photogrammetry and VR technology to bring local history to life, making it accessible for both classroom use and community engagement.
