Abstract
The article "Black 'Rosies the Riveters': A Legacy of Patriotism, Courage, and Triumph" from the Journal of the Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society highlights the contributions of African American women during World War II. Gregory S. Cooke's documentary, "Invisible Warriors: African American Women in WW II," sheds light on the 600,000 Black women who served in various non-traditional roles during the war. Cooke's journey to uncover this history and the establishment of the Basil and Becky Educational Foundation to honor these women are detailed in the article. The challenges faced in creating the documentary, the impact of the project on Cooke's life, and future projects focusing on African American history are also discussed. [Extracted from the article]
