Abstract
Sandra Day O'Connor, the first woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, was known for her significant impact on issues affecting women, democracy, and Native American rights. Despite being a Republican, O'Connor sometimes aligned with liberal judges on landmark issues. Her legacy includes mentoring other women judges and inspiring a generation of women in the legal profession. Through initiatives like iCivics and Camp O'Connor USA, she aimed to educate and engage students in civic life. [Extracted from the article]
