Abstract

Charles Melton, former star of Riverdale, has gained acclaim for his role in the film May December. The film, directed by Todd Haynes, is loosely based on the Mary Kay Letourneau scandal and centers around Melton's character, Joe, who began a relationship with his now-wife when he was 13 and she was in her 30s. Melton's performance has received praise from critics and he has been recognized with awards and nominations. Born in Alaska and raised in various locations, Melton dropped out of college and moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. He has since appeared in other films and television shows. Melton, who is Korean American, appreciates that his character's ethnicity in May December is not the focus of the plot. He is currently enjoying some downtime before his next project and remains tight-lipped about his romantic status. [Extracted from the article]
