Abstract
Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, has been ordered to repay her over $2.6 million in past commissions. A California labor commissioner ruled that Blackstock violated California's Talent Agencies Act by unlawfully procuring work for Clarkson while serving as her manager between 2017 and 2020. The ruling stated that Blackstock and his management group violated the act in all instances except for The Kelly Clarkson Show. Blackstock must now pay Clarkson $1.98 million for The Voice, $208,125 for a deal with Norwegian Cruise Line, $450,000 for a deal with wayfair, and $93.30 for the Billboard Music Awards.
