Abstract
As climate change continues to raise temperatures in New Zealand, scientists expect some local populations to become functionally extinct A Google search of tuatara states "not extinct" - this indicates the high number of people who question whether the tuatara is extinct. Tuatara (Sphenodon) are truly unique reptiles found only in New Zealand. Scientists work on tuatara reproduction Perhaps surprisingly, tuatara have been found to have very fast swimming sperm.
