Abstract
Fiegeliinae new subfamily, type genus Fiegelia Muona, 2020, is established. The larva of Fiegelia sp. (Coleoptera, Eucnemidae) is described from Myanmar amber from Upper Cretaceous Katching deposits. The taxonomic placement of this larva is deduced from the evolutionary meaningful larval characters of taxa placed in clades with cladistic analyses using adult morphology. This procedure led to the erection of a new family-group taxon, which is the sister group of all derived eucnemids, i.e. (Palaeoxeninae + (Melasinae, Eucneminae, Dromaeolinae)).
