Abstract
This article from Canada's History discusses the collaboration between an artist and the Canadian Museum of Nature to showcase a collection of historical bird nest photographs taken by Percy Taverner over a hundred years ago. The artist, Christine Fitzgerald, was drawn to Taverner's meticulous arrangements and used traditional and contemporary techniques to create prints from his glass plate negatives. The series of prints aims to bridge the past and present, connect science and art, and raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and the fragility of life. The article also provides background information on Taverner's contributions to ornithology and bird conservation in Canada. [Extracted from the article]
