Abstract
The article discusses the impending climate disaster facing Azerbaijan as water levels in the Caspian Sea are projected to dramatically decrease due to global warming. The decline in sea levels poses a significant economic threat to the region, with infrastructure, ecosystems, and livelihoods at risk. The COP29 climate summit held in Baku highlighted the urgent need for action to address the impact of climate change on the Caspian Sea and the region's dependence on fossil fuels.
