Abstract

About 41 percent of amphibian species, which include frogs, toads and salamanders, face extinction, Luedtke and colleagues found. "We are realistic and hopeful at the same time", says conservationist Jennifer Luedtke, a global amphibian coordinator for the International Union for Conservation of Nature, which tracks extinction risk trends for species globally.
