Biography
Gar Sydnor is responsible for the vision, product strategy, and delivery of EBSCO's Library Platform, including EBSCO's FOLIO Library Services, and other innovative applications that enhance student research and improve librarian workflows and productivity.
He leads financial strategy and positioning for EBSCO's library platforms in the global marketplace where the focus is delivering value through automation and continuous improvement. Under his leadership, EBSCO's FOLIO Library Service has achieved significant adoption, supporting print and electronic resource management across hundreds of institutions and consortia worldwide. He continues to elevate user experience through intuitive interfaces that optimize access and impact of EBSCO's research content.
Since joining EBSCO in 1994, Gar has been instrumental in pioneering digital library services, including the launch of the EBSCOhost online platform in the 1990s. His extensive experience and leadership continue to position EBSCO as a leader in library technology innovation.
