Although she's been a Christy Award judge for the past six years, she's never met a genre she doesn't like. She is most drawn to books with complicated relationships, flawed characters, or lyrical writing. Lindsey is also a film critic known as 1 of my Stories and believes in the power of stories to change lives.

Victoria Frederick
Victoria is privileged to work with the talented librarians who create NoveList’s readers’ advisory content. Her passion for literature has evolved with her career, spanning cataloging children’s books to her current obsession with horror and crime fiction, although she tries to keep some SF in the mix. Recent hobbies include crocheting amigurumi cryptids, not eating sugar, and strength training (with LOTS of “rest” periods).

Shauna Griffin
Shauna Griffin is a collection development coordinator at NoveList, where she’s been providing reading recommendations since 2006. In her free time, she volunteers with a local animal rescue and with her running club, reads gothic fiction and fantasy novels, and eats too much chocolate, though usually not all at the same time.

Having been at it for close to 10 years now, she is happy to join the NoveList BookChat team to help even more patrons while increasing her knowledge about what's out there. While she has too many favorite genres to name, she does take a particular liking to fantasy, magical realism, animal narrative, nonfiction that suits her nerdy interests, and novels of any genre with deep character development.
