Since 1958, the American Library Association (ALA) has sponsored National Library Week during the second week of April as a time to recognize the power of libraries and their impact on the larger community.

This year’s National Library Week theme, “Find Your Place at the Library,” was chosen by the ALA before anyone could anticipate that a global pandemic would force most libraries to temporarily close their physical doors. Since the library’s virtual doors are still open, the ALA has revised the theme to be “Find the Library at Your Place.”

“Libraries are open for business online, providing the virtual services and digital content their communities need more than ever,” the ALA reminds us.

EBSCO offers a variety of digital content — including databases, digital magazines, e-books, audiobooks and more — to help libraries continue to meet the needs of their users. To support libraries impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, EBSCO and its partners are providing free and expanded access to dozens of online resources. Click the button below to learn more.
