Bibliotheca and NoveList® Announce Exclusive Partnership

~ Exclusive Agreement Makes Recommendations from Novelist Available At Checkout Only On Bibliotheca’s Self-Service Solutions ~

Minneapolis, MN — June 28, 2023 — Bibliotheca and NoveList®, a division of EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO), are proud to announce a new exclusive agreement that makes the expertly curated recommendations from NoveList® available at checkout only on Bibliotheca’s self-service solutions.

For nearly 30 years, libraries have trusted NoveList as their go-to source for expert book suggestions for every kind of reader. NoveList’s book professionals meticulously catalog and tag titles, resulting in highly relevant search results and recommendations not just from the current bestseller list or loosely tied suggestions.

This partnership extends the recommendation expertise of NoveList staff into the Bibliotheca self-service experience, making it easier than ever for library patrons to find their next perfect read right at the point of need – checkout. Additional books based on what’s being checked out will be displayed. Patrons can place recommendations on hold or print or email the list to use later.

“At Bibliotheca, we are constantly striving to help libraries improve service, meet the needs of their patrons and remain relevant to their communities,” says Mark Hill, Chief Revenue Officer. “We are excited about this exclusive partnership with NoveList and the opportunity it presents to help more libraries drive circulation and connect readers with books perfectly matched to their interests.”

Bibliotheca is now the only library solutions provider to offer NoveList’s read-alike recommendations at checkout. NoveList’s recommendations are available on any Bibliotheca solution running quickConnect software, including the selfCheck and remoteLocker self-service solutions, as long as the customer has an active subscription to NoveList Select.

“We are excited to partner exclusively with Bibliotheca to provide our expertly curated recommendations in their self-check kiosks through NoveList Select,” said Danielle Borasky, Vice President of NoveList. “Together, we can help readers find something more of what they love to read.”
