Configuration of IP authentication will move from EBSCOadmin to EBSCO Experience Manager. Administrators will benefit from self-supported IP configuration in a modern and intuitive UI.
Library administrators will be able to configure and use their institution's SAML Single Sign-On (such as OpenAthens, MS Entra, or Shibboleth) for access to EBSCO Experience Manager. This work will allow for more secure, standard authentication and role-based access control for EEM, an interface where product configuration is increasingly homed. Administrators can easily connect to their SAML Identity Provider using the setup wizard, and granularly manage permissions for administrative access.
Streamline eResource access in Koha catalogs, especially in consortium environments. It dynamically verifies eResource availability for specific library sites and seamlessly inserts access links into the New UI's "Access Options," tailored by item type and library location code.
Get It Now from Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) complements your interlibrary loan (ILL) services by providing library patrons with the immediate fulfillment of full text articles from non-subscribed journals through a cost-effective and easy-to-use service integrated within Full Text Finder and/or EBSCO Discovery Service
For customers using both EBSCO Discovery Service and PressReader, this integration allows PressReader results to appear directly in the new EBSCO Discovery Service user interface. Users can then link to the PressReader website to access full text or explore additional results.
The new interlibrary loan (ILL) form is designed to seamlessly integrate with EBSCO’s New UI. This form has several enhanced features:
1. EEM Module: Easily create and manage ILL forms with the new EEM module.
2. Entitlement API Integration: Users will be informed about the availability of a copy through EBSCO full text, SmartLinks+, or Unpaywall before submitting their request.
3. EBSCO SSO Integration: Automatic population of user information with EBSCO Single Sign-On.
4. Multilingual Support: Access the form in all languages supported by EBSCO.
The media placard is now available on EBSCO Discovery Service so libraries can highlight visual content from Flipster and CONTENTdm
When configured by their administrator, users can use their institutional email address to obtain a one-time code to access EBSCO resources. This new authentication method is primarily intended for institutions without a remote authentication method, such as a proxy or single sign-on
The EDS search box builder is now updated to generate URLs for the New UI. It is integrated into the new EEM search box builder module and has added functionality. These changes will not affect existing EDS search boxes.
