There is now a search box in the Configuration module of EBSCO Experience Manager to enable library administrators to easily find and link to different settings they can control across EBSCO products and platforms
Library administrators now have the capability to generate New UI URLs for their EBSCO products, including database-specific URLs. This new feature will be integrated into the Search Box Builder within EBSCO Experience Manager.
This update introduces a new feature for the Search Box Builder in EEM, tailored specifically for the Business Searching Interface (BSI) on the New UI. As your BSI profiles transition to the New UI, you will now have the capability to create search boxes using the enhanced builder.
Ability to use just filters to search without needing to enter a search term
Ability to limit to HTML Only, PDF Only, and eBooks Only. These limiters are available for EBSCOhost and EDS customers, and they can be configured for profiles in EBSCOadmin along with the other standard limiters.
Library administrators can now create custom limiters according to field codes. The most popular custom limiters from the Classic UI will be pre-programmed and just need to be turned on
The results page now lists the selected search mode under “All Filters.” The search mode can be changed on the Advanced Search under “Search Options”. It also displays any selected Search Expanders. For more convenient refinement, a link back to “Advanced Search” is now directly available in the “All Filters” panel.
In a multi-database search, each database's specific filters will be displayed in a dedicated dropdown section in the Advanced Search to allow for easy orientation
Researchers can now find a complete set of database-specific filters in single database search mode. When multiple databases are searched together, the shared filters are displayed
