EBSCO's Global Knowledgebase is being populated with new managed package descriptions, alternate package names, package subjects, and package-level URLs that will be searchable in Holdings Management. Additionally, Holdings Management Administrators will be able to create a custom package display name, add alternate package names and descriptions, and associate additional managed subjects to packages; users can also add package URLs to their custom packages.
For those institutions that use Full Text Finder, library administrators can make more confident purchase, renewal, and upgrade decisions by leveraging the Collection Assessment tool within Holdings and Link Manager to perform package and title level comparisons of their holdings
Enables librarians to independently control the visibility/discoverability/inclusion of resources in their HLM collection between Publication Finder, Full Text Finder Resolver, and MARC exports
Libraries can now opt-in to Recommendations, which enables patrons to discover and explore related research more easily with a brand-new “More like this” button on the search results page and individual detail record pages, powered by EBSCOhost subject metadata
EBSCO’s proprietary recommendation engine leverages our unique subject metadata to identify similar articles at the point of user need, helping students and patrons explore new subjects and articles in a fun way in EBSCO Discovery Service and the EBSCO Mobile App
