We will create and maintain a translation workflow for the customizable text within certain Topic Management (TM) components. Specifically for Referencia Latina & Salud en Espanol, search strings will be stored and returned/executed in Spanish, with the availability of an icon or button to toggle the Spanish translations on/off.
There is now a search box in the Configuration module of EBSCO Experience Manager to enable library administrators to easily find and link to different settings they can control across EBSCO products and platforms
The Advanced Search page's search boxes now automatically resize to always show the full length of the search string entered. And users can now add up to 12 search boxes by clicking “Add row” and delete any additional rows back down to the default of 3, by clicking “Delete row.” There's also a new "Clear all" button which clears all search boxes at once.
The New UI now supports the EBSCOadmin setting “Run SmartText Search when Query Returns No Results.” When enabled, this setting automatically reruns zero-result searches using the SmartText search mode.
The Related Items feature found on the detailed record and in the PDF and HTML viewers will be renamed to Publication Contents to better reflect what this feature is showing to end users - other articles included in the same issue (serials) or edition (monographs) as the record the user is currently on.
Configuration of IP authentication will move from EBSCOadmin to EBSCO Experience Manager. Administrators will benefit from self-supported IP configuration in a modern and intuitive UI.
Library administrators will be able to configure and use their institution's SAML Single Sign-On (such as OpenAthens, MS Entra, or Shibboleth) for access to EBSCO Experience Manager. This work will allow for more secure, standard authentication and role-based access control for EEM, an interface where product configuration is increasingly homed. Administrators can easily connect to their SAML Identity Provider using the setup wizard, and granularly manage permissions for administrative access.
Library administrators now have the capability to generate New UI URLs for their EBSCO products, including database-specific URLs. This new feature will be integrated into the Search Box Builder within EBSCO Experience Manager.
Natural Language Search (NLS) allows researchers to search using everyday language in question or statement form. At the time when NLS is supported in EBSCO interfaces, library administrators can choose to enable NLS as an optional search mode using their EBSCO Experience Manager configuration. When enabled in a given interface or profile, end users can opt to utilize NLS to find highly relevant results in response to a natural language query.
