You have worked at EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) for many years. What did you do before becoming the Customer Training Specialist Manager for Brazil? How will your past experiences help you in this new role?

I joined EBSCO in April 2009 as Regional Sales Manager for EBSCO’s Subscriptions Service Division in Brazil. In 2013, I moved to the Databases, Discovery and E-book side of the business, managing the Southeastern region of Brazil. Knowing the academic and corporate markets, the content and solutions EBSCO provides and our publisher relationships, in addition to having an existing relationship with customers, will help me provide the necessary level of service required in this new role.

What do you find most exciting about this new challenge?

I’m a person driven by challenges. I feel privileged to be in a position where I can help librarians improve access to information and help people conduct their research using reliable data sources and systems.

Which features or tools should our customers request training for?

EBSCO provides databases, electronic journals, journal subscriptions, e-books, discovery service and many other library tools to the academic and scientific community.  We offer our customers skills and training related to their purchases and subscriptions to guarantee that all users benefit from a unique, dynamic, complete experience of products and services available.

Could you tell us what the process is to request a training session?

One way is to contact your sales team and indicate your need. They will then look at the training to best suit your requirements and reach out to the Customer Training team.

We also provide a range of valuable trainings and demos for users and administrators of EBSCO products and services. Dozens of new sessions are offered each month, and recorded sessions are available on demand. Many of the sessions are offered in local languages on EBSCO Connect.
