Users will be able to search and access content from historical digital archives their institution subscribes to. In the New UI this content will be displayed in PDF format.
Users can now save a search directly from the search results page via the Search actions kabob menu, with the ability to designate a Name and Description for a saved search. Searches can be edited from within the My dashboard feature and users can designate optional Name and/or Description values.
AI Insights Summaries assist users in assessing an article's relevance to their research by providing a new button in the result list. This feature uses Generative AI to create on-demand summaries of 2-5 key points, based on the full text of the article. An AI Insight is grounded in the full-text of the article.
EBSCO has partnered with Elsevier to provide integrated Times Cited data on EBSCO Discovery Service for customers on the new user interface who are subscribed to the Elsevier Scopus® database. This integration allows librarians to configure Scopus access citation counts and links to the Scopus platform for users to view additional metadata for a given citation result set.
Users of Points of View and Read It! on Explora will soon have a new Topic Page experience which highlights related content collections for Points of View Point/Counterpoint articles and Read It! comprehension tests.
The results page now lists the selected search mode under “All Filters.” The search mode can be changed on the Advanced Search under “Search Options”. It also displays any selected Search Expanders. For more convenient refinement, a link back to “Advanced Search” is now directly available in the “All Filters” panel.
“My Dashboard” is now collapsed by default on Explora. Users can click on the “My Dashboard” header to expand it. After expanding this menu, it will remain expanded as users navigate through the interface. Users can also collapse it again by clicking on the “My Dashboard” header, and it will remain collapsed until expanded again.
Search Modes and Expanders are now available on the New UI for EBSCOhost, EDS and Explora. They are located on the Advanced Search in a newly added tab called “Search Options”. All existing EBSCOadmin configuration options selected by the customer are being honored:
– The customer’s default Search Mode
– The customer’s default Expander(s)
– Expander(s) selected for display on the interface
Field codes that are unique to certain EBSCOhost databases are now available from the Advanced Search page
