EBSCO FOLIO Integrations
As FOLIO is an open system, the APIs and utilities developed are available to connect with a variety of external systems and services. FOLIO is built as a malleable framework that provides a versatile environment, responding directly to the unique needs of each library. This architecture also allows for easy development and integration of FOLIO services into other solutions, while making FOLIO infinitely extendable and customizable.
Customizable for each library
Import user (patron) information from a Student Information System (SIS) and export fees and fines to the institutional financial system.
Electronic Resource Management (ERM)
Export and receive purchase orders and invoices for payment and confirmation to your library's institutional ERP/financial systems or supporting standards (e.g., EDIFACT).
Inventory and Circulation
Integration with standard resource sharing or interlibrary loan services, remote storage facility, self-check machines and metadata import.
Integration with your library's preferred authentication method including seamless integration with OpenAthens.
Integration with EBSCO Discovery Service, including support for patron functionality. EBSCO FOLIO thereby supports the Full Text Finder OpenURL link resolver.
Integration with Panorama Essentials, the analytics app included with EBSCO FOLIO, to report on FOLIO logs for acquisitions, circulation, inventory and more, providing traditional ILS reporting areas as well as COUNTER usage reporting.
As part of EBSCO FOLIO Services, our consultants work directly with your library to review current integrations and ensure that integrations are made between desired systems.
